No-hitter leads the Pacific Indians Varsity past St. James (MO) 10-0
Monday was a day Austin Muich will remember forever as Muich threw a no-hitter in the Pacific Indians Varsity’s 10-0 victory over St. James .
No St. James (MO) batter was able to locate Muich’s pitches during the game. Muich threw a no-hitter, striking out 11 batters and walking two while recording his momentous feat. He got D Bouse to strike out for the final out of the game.
The Pacific Indians Varsity beat St. James thanks to 13 hits, including two extra base hits.
Hunter Finney racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Pacific Indians Varsity. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the second and fifth innings.
T Lewis was the game’s losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
The Pacific Indians Varsity never surrendered the lead after the second inning, scoring one run on an RBI single by Finney.
The Pacific Indians Varsity increased their lead with four runs in the fourth. A three-run blast by Finney ignited the offense,, plating Lane Smith and Matt Strong.
The Pacific Indians Varsity brought home two runs in the fifth inning, and matched that run total in the sixth. In the fifth, the Pacific Indians Varsity scored on an RBI single by Finney, bringing home Strong.
The Pacific Indians Varsity piled on two more runs in the bottom of the sixth. Strong started the inning with a single, plating Lucas Vandaveer. That was followed up by Strong’s single, scoring Lucas Vandaveer.
